Broccoli and capsicum (bell pepper) go well together and make for a colourful and very tasty stir-fry dish that is easy to put together quickly. This recipe includes chilli for added spiciness, along with flavourful garlic.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 green capsicum (bell pepper-medium sized)
- 1 red capsicum (medium size)
- 1 yellow capsicum (small)
- 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
- 4 or 5 flakes of garlic
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt as required
- A few spring onion (scallions) for garnishing

Making the Stir-Fry

1Add the olive oil to a frying pan. Add the chopped onion and green chilli.

2Fry till the onion becomes soft.

3Add the chopped capsicum. Fry till it is half cooked.

4Add the garlic paste. Fry until the raw smell of garlic disappears.

5Add the cooked broccoli. Fry until it is mixed in with the other vegetables.

6Add the chopped spring onion. Fry for a minute.

7Serve hot. Transfer to serving plates or bowls. Serve with rotis and/or rice.
