When many people go to Japanese restaurants, most of them will always get at least one sushi order before they leave because of its rich taste and fresh, healthy feeling. It is usually not oily, thus attracting many customers who care about their health. One particular roll, though, is not that healthy, but is highly delicious. It is called the Dynamite Roll. It is called this perhaps because for its heavy calorie numbers and its color scheme.
Ingredients
- sushi rice
- seaweed
- mayonnaise
- caviar/tobiko (flying fish roe)
- imitation crab
- teriyaki eel
- salmon
- teriyaki sauce
Steps
-
1Gather up the items from the list of ingredients.
-
2Put saran wrap around a sushi rolling mat. This will prevent the rice from sticking to the mat.Advertisement
-
3Dip your hands in clean water so that your hand will not stick onto rice or any other ingredients.
-
4Put a piece of seaweed on the mat. Then put some rice on top of the seaweed and carefully spread it across the seaweed evenly.
-
5Flip the rice-laden seaweed, so the bare side of the seaweed will be on top. Add the remaining ingredients onto the middle of the seaweed, except for the salmon and mayonnaise. Make sure to leave some tobiko for later use.
-
6Roll up the rice, seaweed and everything in it with the mat. Using the bamboo mat, press harder to make sure it will not fall apart.
-
7Put a long and thin covering of mayonnaise on top of the sushi roll.
-
8Cut a thin, yet long, slice of salmon and put it on top of the mayonnaise.
-
9Add another covering of mayonnaise on top of the salmon. Sprinkle some tobiko.
-
10If the salmon is not cooked, put it in the oven and let it sit until desired amount heat on salmon has been added. Or if you prefer it as is, start to cut and portion and proceed to the next step.
-
11When the roll is baked to desired time, take it out of the oven and cut the roll into equal pieces and add a little teriyaki sauce on the rolls if desired. Other than that, you can enjoy the dynamite roll.
-
12Finished.
