Overview
The Slavia was introduced on 18 November 2021. Compared to the preceding Rapid, the Slavia is 128 mm (5.0 in) longer, 53 mm (2.1 in) wider, 20 mm (0.8 in) taller with a 98 mm (3.9 in) longer wheelbase. It is built with a localisation level of 95 percent.[3] At launch, the Slavia in India is offered in three trims, which are Active, Ambition and Style.[4]
The Slavia is available with a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines. The entry-level option is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI unit producing 115 PS (113 hp; 85 kW) and paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The more powerful option, is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI motor with 150 PS (148 hp; 110 kW) that gets either the 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The 1.5 TSI is also equipped with the cylinder deactivation technology.[5]
In 2022, the Slavia contains 95% local parts.[6]

Safety
The Škoda Slavia is sold in India with a standard safety specification of two frontal airbags, i-Size approved ISOFIX anchorages, Electronic Stability Control, three-point seatbelts in all seats, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, post-collision braking and a tyre pressure monitor. Higher trim levels are additionally equipped with side torso airbags and head-protecting curtains.
In April 2023, the Škoda Slavia was independently crash-tested by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) at Škoda's expense and scored five stars for adult and child occupant protection.[7] The protection provided to the driver and passenger's head and neck during the front impact test was good. Both front occupants' chest protection was sufficient, and the knees displayed decent protection. The car provided decent protection for the passenger's tibias and adequate protection for the driver's tibias. Both the bodyshell and the footwell section received steady ratings.
The head, chest, and abdomen received adequate ratings for side impact protection, while the pelvis displayed good protection. In the side pole impact test, the curtain airbags provided good protection for the head, abdomen, and pelvis, but only marginal protection for the chest. The 3-year-old's child seat provided complete protection by preventing head exposure during the frontal impact test. The 18-month-old's kid seat was also able to keep the head from being exposed. Both child safety seats (CRS) provided complete side impact protection.
