2023 ASEAN Club Championship

The 2023 ASEAN Club Championship (simply 2023 ACC) which is an edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, is an international association football competition between domestic champion clubs sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation.[1][2][3] It was to be the first ACC to commence since 2005. Vietnamese media report that the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Competition Committee has approved the staging of the 2023 AFF Champions League from September 2023 to May 2024. The competition will reportedly feature 12 teams, with two teams each from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam; one team each from the Philippines and Singapore; and two more teams to be determined through playoffs. The playoffs, which will be held in August 2023, will involve teams from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. [5][6]

Twelve clubs were planned to feature in the competition proper.

The teams to participate in the competition has not been confirmed.

Foreign players

A maximum of four foreigners are allowed per club which follows the Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) '3+1 rule'; three players of any nationality and a fourth coming from an AFC member nation. A player coming from an AFF member nation will not be considered as a foreign player. This will be confirmed once the draw is confirmed.
