2023 East Asian Youth Games
The 2023 East Asian Youth Games (Mongolian: "Улаанбаатар-2023" Зүүн Азийн залуучуудын наадам) is the inaugural edition of the East Asian Youth Games. The games is scheduled to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 16 to 23 August 2023. Over 1,500 athletes from 9 countries and regions are expected to compete.[1]

Developments and preparations
In March 2023, the organizing committee of the games held a meeting with the purpose of intensifying preparation of the Games, key issues like emergency situation preparations, opening ceremony safety issues, volunteers training etc, are discussed and addressed in the meetings.[2]
Promotion
Mascot
The organizing committee announced the mascot in November, 2022. Khangardi mascot was named “Khaki” and the Galbingaa bird was named “Inga”. The logo of the game is made with the image of the upper fame of the Mongol ger (Mongolian traditional dwelling), meaning “Let's unite under the roof of Ulaanbaatar”.[3]
