ATCHAYAM TRUST
Atchayam Trust is {a} registered not-for-profit organization founded by Mr.P.Naveenkumar in 2014, while he was pursuing Final Year B.E. in Mechanical Engineering at Komarapalayam, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu. Atchayam is actively working towards rehabilitation of beggars, homeless, and destitute people across Tamil Nadu by undertaking several sustainable initiatives. The main targeted beneficiaries are beggars, homeless, destitute people especially women, child labour, differently-abled people, migrants labour strangled, etc.
We are inspired by the visions of great leaders like Swami Vivekananda and APJ Abdul Kalam, who have envisioned us towards the creation of awareness among people and youth of the country to get involved in the development of less fortunate people to transform them from poverty to prosperity by helping them to lead a dignified life. We aim to eradicate the begging through education and awareness especially by not encouraging people to give money to beggars who mostly misuse it for anti-life and social activities. Instead, people should volunteer to give a hand to lift beggars out of poverty by providing them material support.
We are a team of very passionate and dedicated youths determined to bring social change in the society. Since 2014, we have undertaken several projects and initiatives to reach out to the beggars, homeless and destitute people across 18 districts in Tamil Nadu involving more than 400 volunteers. We have been closely associated with subject experts like Doctors, community counsellors, etc, for the rehabilitation of beggars.
We are also working with an emphasis on UN Goals. Atchayam Trust's objectives are closely related to the Goals of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of 2030. We aim to achieve through our initiatives.
