Angelique Ashby
Angelique Ashby is an American politician and a member of the California State Senate since 2023. A Democrat, she represents the 8th State Senate District.[1] Before joining the legislature, she was elected to the Sacramento City Council, where she served for 12 years. She was the sole woman for more than half of her tenure, and is the only member in city history to serve as Vice Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem for eight years.[2]
