Austin is the upcoming fifth studio album by American rapper and singer Post Malone. It is set to be released on July 28, 2023, through Republic Records and Mercury Records. it is a follow-up to his 2022 album Twelve Carat Toothache (2022)

Background

On May 15, 2023, the artist posted an Instagram video to announce the record by saying, "I wanted to tell you guys that I have an album coming out this summer on July 28. It's called Austin".[1] The album is titled after his birth name.[2] The message hinted at a different artistic approach, possibly intensifying the sound of Twelve Carat Toothache.[3] The singer revealed that he played guitar "on every song on the record", calling the creation process a "fun experience".[4] The outcome was described as the "most challenging and rewarding music" he had ever done, a product of constantly pushing himself.[5]

Release and promotion

Austin will be released on July 28, 2023, through Mercury Records and Republic Records.

Singles

On April 14, 2023, Malone released the lead single "Chemical", also part of The Diamond Collection to celebrate his diamond-certified songs in the United States.[6]

The second single "Mourning" is set to be released on May 19.[7]

Tour

On May 15, 2023, Malone also announced If Y'all Weren't Here, I'd Be Crying, a summer North American tour starting in early July 2023 through late August to accompany the album release.[8]
