History
Formation (2022–present)
At Stardom's Dream Queendom 2, the returning Xia Brookside and the debutant Mariah May made their appearances by accompanying Mina Shirakawa to the ring. Shirakawa and Unagi Sayaka who represented Cosmic Angels went on defeating Donna Del Mondo's Mai Sakurai and Thekla in a tag team match. Following the bout, Shirakawa slapped Unagi, and announced the formation of her own trio featuring herself, May, and Brookside with the three to be known as Club Venus.[3] The newly formed announced themselves as the mystery team to compete in the Triangle Derby I tournament as part of the "Red Triangle Block" where they scored a total of eight points after going against the teams of Abarenbo GE (Syuri, Mirai and Ami Sourei), Gold Ship (Natsuko Tora, Momo Watanabe and Saki Kashima), Prominence (Suzu Suzuki, Risa Sera and Hiragi Kurumi), Rebel&Enemy (Ram Kaicho, Maika Ozaki and Maya Yukihi), MaiHime with C (Maika, Himeka and Lady C), Classmates (Hazuki, Koguma and Saya Iida), and Lollipop (Waka Tsukiyama, Yuko Sakurai and Rina Amikura).[4] The trio was confirmed as a sub-unit of Cosmic Angels by Shirakawa herself.[5]
At Stardom New Blood 7 on January 20, 2023, Xia Brookside and Mariah May fell short to Unique Glare (Starlight Kid and Karma) in the quarterfinals of the inaugural New Blood Tag Team Championship tournament.[6] At Stardom Supreme Fight 2023 on February 4, 2023, Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May competed in a call your shot match for a title of choice.[7] On the first night of the 2023 Stardom Cinderella Tournament from March 26, Xena was presented as the stable's newest member before she defeated Hina in the first rounds.[8] On April 6, 2023, Xena and Mariah May were scheduled to team up with a mystery partner to face Stars (Koguma, Saya Iida and Hanan in a six-woman tag team match. On the day of the event, the respective person was revealed to be Jessie, the former Jessi Kamea in NXT and Jessie Elaban on the independent scene. She picked up the victory alongside Xena and May in the process.[9]
Split from Cosmic Angels (April 2023)
At the 2023 edition of the Stardom Cinderella Tournament 2023, Mina Shirakawa, Mariah May and Xena took part in the phase competition. Xena scored the best result by reaching the quarterfinals where she fell short to Mirai. On the night of the finals from April 15, 2023, after teaming up with Tam Nakano, Natsupoi and Saki to fall short to Donna Del Mondo (Giulia, Maika, Himeka and Thekla), Mina Shirakawa announced Nakano that Club Venus would officially part ways with Cosmic Angels and act as an independent unit ever since. Waka Tsukiyama was made to choose her unit given the events from the past months related to her losing streak coming to an end. Tsukiyama chose Club Venus in the process.[10]
