Background and release
After D'eux became the best-selling French-language album of all time, Dion reunited with Jean-Jacques Goldman to record another album together.[1] S'il suffisait d'aimer was recorded between September 1997 and July 1998, and produced by Goldman and Erick Benzi.[2] "Dans un autre monde" was written by Goldman. In September 1999, a music video of Dion performing the song live was released to promote the Au cœur du stade album and home video of the same name.[3] Dion often performed it during her concerts. In 2005, "Dans un autre monde" was included on her greatest hits album, On ne change pas.[4]
Commercial performance
Although the song was not oficially released as a single, it entered the airplay chart in Quebec on 30 January 1999, peaking at number 49.[5] In Belgium Wallonia, "Dans un autre monde" reached number seven on 26 October 1999, and stayed seven weeks inside top 50 of the airplay chart.[6] In October 2019, the song entered the chart in France based on digital sales alone and peaked at number 117.[7]
Music video
The official live music video was filmed at the Stade de France in Paris, during two sold out performances of the Let's Talk About Love World Tour on 19 and 20 June 1999.[8] It was directed by Gérard Pullicino and released in September 1999 to promote the Au cœur du stade CD and DVD of the same name.[9]
