Madison Haley (born August 21, 1998) is American soccer player currently playing for Sydney FC in the A-League Women.

Career History

Haley began her career as a freshman at Stanford University, playing for Stanford Cardinal. The team went undefeated throughout the 2017 NCAA Division I season, winning the Pac-12 Conference having finished on 33 points having won all 11 matches,[1] before progressing through to the 2017 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament, where Stanford would progress through the group stages continuing their undefeated run as the Cardinal pregressed to the finals in Orlando, Florida. Stanford would face off against UCLA Bruins, where they would win 3–2.[2]

Haley would go on to repeat the success with the Cardinal just two years later in the 2019 NCAA Division I[3] as the Cardinal went on another undefeated streak, winning the national final 5–4 on penalties after the game finished 0–0.[4]

Early career

Haley would progress through to her first professional contract when she was announced as the 7th pick in the 2021 National Women's Soccer League season draft for the Chicago Red Stars[5]

Sydney FC

Haley signed for Sydney FC in the A-League Women for the 2022–23 season.[6] She scored her first goal for the club in the Round 2, 2–0 win against Melbourne Victory.[7] Haley would go on to play a critical role for Sydney throughout the season, finishing the regular season on 8 goals as they secured their third consecutive Premiership.[8] Haley would continue to play a pivotal role in the finals series as she scored 2 goals against Western United in the Grand Final.[9]

International career

Haley has been called up to various United States training camps at Under 14,15, 18 and 18 youth levels.[10] She was a member of the Under 17s national team squad that finished 5th during the 2013 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship.[11]

Personal life

Madison Haley is the daughter of former five time National Football League Super Bowl winner Charles Haley,[3]
