Mana Ahmadani

Mana Ahmadani (Urdu: مانہ احمدانی), is a town and union council of Dera Ghazi Khan District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[1] It is located at 29°47'58N 70°35'3E and has an altitude of 111 metres (367 feet).[2]

Mana Ahmadani has been named for Sardar Mana Khan Ahmadani Baloch, who was tribal chief of Ahmadani Baloch tribe. The prominent tribe of the town is Ahmadani Baloch. There is a sunni majority and a shia minority. The Sunnis are scattered all over Mana Ahmadani. Meanwhile, the Shias are mainly located at a place they call "Pul" meaning bridge in urdu and saraiki. There are two main political parties, namely PML-N under Sardar Javed Akhtar Ahmadani, while the other party,PTI, is under Hasnain Koreja. This Ahmadani tribe then has further more subcastes. Even though it isn't that much of a famous caste, it still has a whole bunch of subcastes. The other castes in Mana Ahmadani other then Ahmadanis are Lond, Gurmani and Muhajirs such as Rajpoots, Araens etc.
