Mihail Gherasimencov (born 25 March 2005) is a Moldovan professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Whitecaps FC 2 of MLS Next Pro.

Early life

Mihail Gherasimencov was born in Bălți, Moldova and he lived there until 2016, when he moved to Calgary, Canada.[1]

Gherasimencov played youth football with the Calgary Blizzard before joining Whitecaps FC Academy.[1] With the academy, Gherasimencov featured in the inaugural MLS Next All-Star Game, and Whitecaps FC Academy XI in 2022, making his professional debut with the Whitecaps FC 2 on 6 August, in a 3-1 loss to the Real Monarchs.[2][3][4] He also appeared for the Whitecaps U17s, scoring once in 4 league games.[5]

In the 2022–23 MLS Next season, Gherasimencov has currently played 5 games for Whitecaps II.[2]

Gherasimencov was called up to a 4 day training camp with the Moldova U19s in late April.[1]
