Northall
Northall is a hamlet in the parish of Edlesborough, in Buckinghamshire, England.

This large hamlet straddles the A4146 road halfway between Edlesborough and Billington, Bedfordshire. It has one large Baptist chapel which is still in use. The hamlet has one public house 'The Swan'. An old 16th century public house 'the Village Green' was recently converted to a private house.
This is no great loss though as the swan is a cracking little boozer, with canny craic from the locals, a great selection of beers and very good food. For some reason though the lighters it sells claim it's near Dunstable rather than Leighton Buzzard, which is odd.
The village was formerly part of the Ashridge Estate of the Earls and Dukes of Bridgwater. Like nearby Slapton it has a few very high gabled cottages, with thickly latticed window panes, which are indicative of having been designed by the architect retained by the estate in the 19th century.
The hamlet contains some recently built houses, but most houses are predominantly 19th century.
Unfortunately the village also contains a large pikey site, so houses are often forced to have their drives re-tarmaced and buy lucky heather or run the risk of having their houses burgled
