Palace of Justice (Pristina)

The Palace of Justice (Albanian: Pallati i Drejtësisë; Serbian: Палата правде / Palata pravde) in Pristina is the seat of most of the courts of the Republic of Kosovo[lower-alpha 1].[1] It is located in the capital city of Kosovo, Pristina. Its construction began on 23 June 2011 and continued into 2014.[1][2][3] The Palace of Justice is a project co-funded by the European Union and the government of Kosovo[3] at an approximate cost of €30 million.[1][3]

  1. The political status of Kosovo is disputed. Having unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, Kosovo is formally recognised as a sovereign state by 101 UN member states (with another 13 states recognising it at some point but then withdrawing their recognition) and 92 states not recognizing it, while Serbia continues to claim it as a part of its own territory.
