Roscommon Zoo

The Roscommon Zoo is a rural zoo located within South Branch Township in the U.S. state of Michigan. The zoo is located along M-18 just east of the village of Roscommon.

It occupies 20 acres (8.1 ha) and has more than 120 domestic and exotic animals.[1] The zoo is family owned and operated and also has a petting zoo.[2][3]

The family consisting of Andy, Rachell, Kora, and the crew come together to take care of all of the different animals on the premises. The zoo is home to many native and exotic animals such as tigers, bears, owls, lemurs, and more. Many animals that are at the zoo are highly socialized and trained, which makes for a unique interactive experience. There is a gift store where feed cups can be purchased to feed farm animals, kangaroos, and deer.[4] When visiting the area, it is a great fun and affordable way to spend the day with your family or friends. The zoo offers both daily admission and season passes. The season passes range from $55-$150 depending on which option you choose, while the daily admission is $12 for adults.[5] There are also many animals that are free ranging in the zoo such as peacocks, therefore you are asked to treat them with respect and kindness. The zoo has a play area for children that includes swings and a slide. The zoo can be visited from late May until October when they close for the winter.[5]
