Solar power in Poland
Solar power in Poland includes the production of solar thermal energy and photovoltaics.

Average annual insolation in Poland
Thermal
Solar thermal, used for heating water, used 1,700,000 m2 (18,000,000 sq ft) of installed solar thermal collectors at the end of 2014. This corresponds to about 1,200 MWth capacity and placed Poland fourth in sales of solar collector installations among European countries.[1]
Solar collectors are the second largest source of renewable heat in Poland, after biomass heating plants.
Photovoltaics (PV)
The estimates have put Poland second among the European Union countries in the total amount of new photovoltaic capacity installed in 2021.[2] The total grid-connected PV capacity in Poland was 12,744.3 MW as of 28 February 2023,[3] some built without subsidy.[4]
