Star Life (African TV channel)

Star Life Africa is an English Bollywood channel launched by Disney Star, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India on 27 August 2018.[1] The channel showcases programming from the Star India library including series, films, and variety programming.[2] It broadcasts in both English and Hindi with English subtitles.

Prior to Covid-19 in 2020, the channel aired reality shows on weekends however now only airs drama series.[3]

Programming

StarLife airs series daily from 6pm to 11pm, each show being an hour long (2 episodes). Reruns of older shows air every weekday between 3 and 6pm, whilst Bollywood movies are broadcast on the weekends. Every month, a new movie is telecast.

Availability

The channel is available for free on OpenView HD as well as on pay-tv platforms: DStv, GOtv and StarTimes.

Sister Channel

On 06 April 2023, a sister channel, Star Select was launched on the pay-tv servies, UltraView. The channel airs series in Hindi with English subtitles.[4]
