The First Omen is an upcoming American horror film directed by Arkasha Stevenson, and written by Stevenson and Tim Smith. It serves as a prequel to The Omen (1976).

In April 2016, a prequel to The Omen was announced to be in the works, with Ben Jacoby writing the script and Antonio Campos in talks to direct.[4] In May 2022, 20th Century Studios began developing it, with Arkasha Stevenson making her feature directorial debut. David S. Goyer, Keith Levine and Gracie Wheelan are set to produce under the Phantom Four label, with Tim Smith also serving as an executive producer.[5]

In late August 2022, Nell Tiger Free joined the cast of the film in an undisclosed role.[1] On January 11, 2023, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Free said that filming was completed, and expected a 2023 release window.[6][7]
