The Room remake
The Room remake is an upcoming American drama film produced and directed by Brando Crawford. Starring Bob Odenkirk, Bella Heathcote, Greg Sestero, Kate Siegel, and horror film director Mike Flanagan, the film is a remake of Tommy Wiseau's The Room (2003).

The film is scheduled to be released digitally in June 2023, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Room.
Cast
- Bob Odenkirk as Johnny, a successful banker who is engaged to Lisa and is Mark's best friend.
- Bella Heathcote as Lisa, Johnny's fiancée and Claudette's daughter, who engages in an affair with Mark.
- Greg Sestero as Mark, Johnny's best friend, who is having an affair with Lisa.
- Kate Siegel as Claudette, Lisa's mother.
- Mike Flanagan as Peter, a psychologist and friend of Mark and Johnny.
Arturo Castro and Cameron Kasky are cast in undisclosed roles.
Production
Principal photography commenced in January 2023,[1] for one day.[2] On March 9, 2023, /Film reported that a greenscreen-based remake of The Room was in post-production, with Bob Odenkirk starring as Johnny, Bella Heathcote as Lisa, and Brando Crawford as director and producer, through his company Acting for a Cause.[3][4] The rest of the cast was announced with Kate Siegel as Lisa's mother Claudette, Mike Flanagan as Peter, and Greg Sestero as Mark, reprising his role from the original film. Other members of the cast include Arturo Castro and Cameron Kasky in undisclosed roles.[2] Odenkirk said the film was not made as a joke nor mocking The Room, but was presenting the material of the original film seriously.[5][6] The profits of the film will be donated to amfAR, an organization for HIV/AIDS research.[4]
Release
The film is set to be released digitally in June 2023, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Room.[2] The film was originally set to be released in Spring 2023.[4]
