Zašová lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) north of Vsetín, 39 km (24 mi) north-east of Zlín, and 269 km (167 mi) east of Prague.

The village of Veselá is an administrative part od Zašová.
History
Zašová was founded in the 14th century. In 1985, the municipality of Veselá was merged with Zašová.[2]
