Polk County, Florida
Polk County is a county in the U.S. state of Florida. As of 2000, 483,924 people lived there. The U.S. Census Bureau 2006 estimate for the county is 561,606.[1] The county seat is Bartow, Florida[2]. Its largest city is Lakeland. The center of population of Florida is in the town of Lake Wales.[3]
