Powder blue

Powder blue is a pale shade of blue. It is a darker shade of alice blue. It is similar to azure. Similar to most colors, powder blue does not have a defined hue or saturation. In the 1650s, powder blue was powdered smalt (cobalt glass). It was used in laundering and dyeing. It came to be used as a colour name from 1894.
