Amite County, Mississippi
Amite County is a county in the U.S. state of Mississippi on the southern border with Louisiana. As of the 2010 census, 13,131 people lived there.[2] Its county seat is Liberty.[3] The county is named after the Amite River which runs through the county. It was founded in 1809.
