Aschaffenburg (German pronunciation: [aˈʃafn̩ˌbʊɐk] (
listen); East Franconian: Aschebersch [ˈaʒəˌbɛːʃ]) is a German city in the west of Franconia. It has a population of about 68,000. It is a part of the European metropolitan area of Frankfurt am Main.
