History

The first post office in Dearing was created in January 1888.[7] The city was incorporated in 1909.[8]

Dearing is at 37°3′29″N 95°42′35″W (37.058083, -95.709824).[9] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.52 square miles (3.94 km2). All of it is land.[1]
