Graham County, Arizona

Graham County is a county located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Arizona. As of the 2010 census, the population was 37,220,[1] making it the third-least populous county in Arizona. The county seat is Safford.[2]

History

The county was founded on March 10, 1881. It was created from land that was previously governed by Apache County and Pima County. From 1883 to 1915, the county seat was Solomon. In 1909, land was taken away to form nearby Greenlee County.
