Houghton County, Michigan

Houghton County is a county in the Upper Peninsula in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 36,628.[1] The county seat and largest city is Houghton.[2][3] Both the county and the city were named for Michigan State geologist and Detroit Mayor Douglass Houghton.[4]
