History
Huron was platted in 1882. This is when the railroad was extended to that point.[7] The city was named after Col. Anthony Huron, an original owner of the town site.[8]
Geography
Huron is at 39°38′20″N 95°21′7″W (39.638807, -95.351981).[9]
According to the United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.85 square miles (2.20 km2). All of it is land.[1]
