Mbappé made his senior debut for France in 2017. Before that he was representing them at under-17 and under-19 levels. At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Mbappé became the youngest French player to score at a World Cup. He also became the second teenager, after Pelé, to score in a World Cup Final. France won the tournament and he was the second-highest goalscorer. He received the Best Young Player Award for his performances.[6]

Last year of contract (from May 2022)

In July 2023, the chief of the Paris Saint-Germain football club said that the club is interested in having Mbappé make an extension to his contract. If that does not happen, the club wants Mbappé to transfer to another team, so that the team can get a transfer fee. His contract will be finished by June 2024.[7][8]
