Pope Paul I
Pope Paul I (Latin: Paulus Primus; 700 – 28 June 767) was an Italian priest of the Roman Catholic Church and the 94th Pope from May 29, 757 to June 28, 767.[1]

Early life
He was the brother of Pope Stephen II.[2]
Pope
After Pope Stephen's death, Paul was elected in 757.[3]
Paul's papacy was troubled by disputes with the Lombards. He had good relations with Pepin, who was king of the Franks.[4]
