Kottonmouth Kings is an American hip hop band. It was formed in Placentia, Orange County, California in 1996.

The band is known for their activism in favor of legalizing cannabis, and often performing lyrics about smoking marijuana.[6]
The band is made-up of D-Loc and Johnny Richter, the band plays hip hop,[6][2][3][4] punk[4] and rap rock songs[6][5] that sometimes incorporate elements of other genres, including psychedelic rock, reggae, dubstep, bluegrass and jam band.[6]
