Library
Source:[20]
Established in 1992 within a single room in a rented residence at Banani, Dhaka, the IUB Library received an initial donation of 160 volumes of books from Dr. A. Majeed Khan, the founder President and President Emeritus of IUB. Driven by a commitment to learning and discovery, the library quickly expanded, moving to larger spaces at House number 8, Road 10, Baridhara, Dhaka, in 1993, and later to two floors of a rented house on Baridhara’s Road 14, House number 5, in 1998.
Anticipating the evolving needs of the university community, the library continued its evolution, gradually becoming a hub of knowledge acquisition spanning three floors. The library found its permanent home on the university's campus, transitioning from Baridhara to Bashundhara. In 2010, the relocation to the university's permanent campus marked a new chapter in the library's history. Presently, the IUB Library proudly occupies four meticulously designed floors in the western section of the campus, strategically positioned for easy accessibility to all seekers of knowledge.[20]
The IUB Library has a collection of more than 250,000 e-books and provides entry to esteemed resource centers like ABI Global (ProQuest), Cambridge University Press Journals, EBSCOhost, Emerald Journals, IEEEXplore, JSTOR Journals, Literary Encyclopedia, National Geographic, SpringerLink Journals, and various others.[21]
