Early history
PT Indonusa Telemedia was established on May 7, 1997, under the brand name TelkomVision. Operations commenced in 1999 with a consortium of shareholders, including:
- PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom)
- PT Telekomindo Primabhakti (a part of Rajawali Corpora, led by Peter Sondakh, which also holds a stake in PT Excelcomindo Pratama)
- PT Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI)
- PT Datakom Asia
By 2003, Telkom became the principal shareholder, holding 98.75% of TelkomVision shares, with the remaining 1.25% owned by Datakom. Datakom's ownership structure included:
- PT Asriland (Bambang Trihatmodjo): 33.3%
- PT Lembahsubur Adipertiwi (Anthoni Salim): 28.57%
- PT Persada Giri Abadi (Peter F. Gontha): 24.23%
- PT Azbindo Nusantara (Aziz Mochdar): 6.88%
- PT Indosat (Persero) Tbk: 5%
- PT Trisadnawa Solusi Komunikasi (Youk Tanzil): 2%.[3][4] Datakom also holds a stake in SCTV, Cipta Aneka Selaras, Indovision, and Kabelvision.[5]

In 2014, TelkomVision underwent an official rebranding as Transvision, as TelkomVision shareholders held only 20% ownership, with Trans Media emerging as the primary stakeholder, holding 80%. Currently, Transvision is wholly owned by a joint venture between Telkom Group and Trans Media.
As of August 1, 2022, Transvision no longer includes Paramount Global channels in any of its plans.
Coverage
Transvision's analog cable TV coverage is limited to several cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya. It also offers a digital cable service available in Bandung, Jakarta, and Surabaya. However, this service has now been replaced by IndiHome, which was then directly owned by Telkom Indonesia, later relinquished it to Telkomsel in 2023.
Transvision's satellite service spans 38 distributor areas across Indonesia. The company utilizes the Measat 3B satellite (Ku-band) to deliver High Definition TV.
As of April 2011, TelkomVision had 200,000 subscribers.[6]
