Labeobarbus polylepis (Boulenger, 1907)
- Holotype (unique): BMNH 1907.3.15.3.
 
Type locality: Klein Olifant River, Transvaal [now Gauteng], South Africa.
Etymology: poly (= many); lepis (= scale), referring to small (and therefore more numerous) scales, 43 along lateral line. (From The ETYFish project)
