This wikiHow teaches you how to add a workplace on Facebook. You can do this on both desktop and mobile app versions of Facebook.
Steps
Using a Computer

1Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in your browser. Doing so will open the Facebook News Feed if you're logged into your Facebook account.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the upper-right side of the page to log in.

2Click your name tab. It's the tab with your name and profile picture that's in the top-right side of the page. This will take you to your profile page.Advertisement

3Click Edit Profile. This button is to the right of your name and profile picture at the top of the page.

4Scroll down and click + Edit Your About Info. It's near the bottom of the page.

5Click Work and Education. This tab is on the left side of the page.

6Click Add a workplace. It's a link below the "WORK" heading near the top of the page.

7Enter your work details. Fill out the following fields:
- Company - Type in your work company's name, then click a matching company in the drop-down menu. If you want to add your own company, click Create [company] at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
- Position - Enter your position's name.
- City/Town - Add the city or town in which you work.
- Description - Optionally, add a brief job description.
- Time Period - Select a start date. You can also uncheck the "I currently work here" box to add a date for the day that you left the work.

8Click Save Changes. It's a dark-blue button near the bottom of the page. Doing so saves the workplace details and adds the workplace to your profile.
Using the Mobile App

1Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a white "f" on a blue background, to open Facebook. Your News Feed page will open if you're logged into your Facebook profile.
- If you aren't logged into Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to log in.

2Tap ☰. It's either in the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or at the top of the screen (Android). A menu will appear.

3Tap your name. This is at the top of the screen. Doing so opens your profile page.

4Tap Edit Profile. It's near the top of the page, just below your name and profile picture.

5Scroll down and tap Edit Details. This option is near the bottom of the page.

6Tap + Add work. It's at the bottom of the "WORK" section. Depending on how many workplaces you have listed here, you may have to scroll down to find this option.

7Enter your work details. Fill out the following fields:
- Where did you work? - Enter your workplace's name. If you want to add an existing workplace, type in the name of the workplace, then tap the workplace's page in the drop-down menu that appears.
- Position - Enter your position title (e.g., "Manager").
- City/Town - Enter the workplace's city or town. This step is required unless you check the following option.
- It's not a physical place - Check this box if your work isn't location-based.
- Description - Optionally, add a brief job description.
- From - Add the date on which you started working at the workplace.
- To - Add the date on which you left the position.
- I currently work here - Check this box if you currently work at the place that you're adding; uncheck the box if your work is in the past.

8Tap Save. It's at the bottom of the page. This will save your workplace details.

9Tap SAVE. This option is at the bottom of the Edit Profile page. Doing so will add the workplace to your profile.
