  • 3 tbsp. whole peppercorns

    Pour the peppercorns into a mound in the center of a cutting board.

    With your right hand, angle a large pan at a 45 degree angle on top of the corns.

    Push down strongly with your left hand at the bottom of the pan that covers the peppercorns.

    Lift the pan and gather the peppercorns back into a neat pile.

    Push down again with the pan to continue crushing the pepper. Repeat the process until the peppercorns reach the desired texture.
