Although Google Play has discontinued their Google Play Music service, you may still have the Music Manager software installed on your computer. Uninstalling this application is pretty straightforward in Windows, but things get a little trickier if you have a Mac. This wikiHow teaches you how to properly uninstall the Google Play Music Manager from Windows and macOS.

    Click the Go menu. It's in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

    Click Go to folder on the menu. A dialog window will appear.

    Paste the path to your preferences into the field. Here's how:
    • Highlight the following address with your mouse: ~/Library/PreferencePanes
    • Press Command + C to copy it to your clipboard.
    • Click the mouse once inside the typing area on the Go To Folder window.
    • Press Command + V.

    Click the Go button. This opens the folder that contains the file you'll need to delete.

    Drag the file called MusicManager.prefPane to the Trash. It's the trash can icon on your desktop. Now you just have one more thing to delete.

    Click Applications on the menu. This opens your app list.
