Although Google Play has discontinued their Google Play Music service, you may still have the Music Manager software installed on your computer. Uninstalling this application is pretty straightforward in Windows, but things get a little trickier if you have a Mac. This wikiHow teaches you how to properly uninstall the Google Play Music Manager from Windows and macOS.

2Click the Go menu. It's in the menu bar at the top of the screen.Advertisement

3Click Go to folder on the menu. A dialog window will appear.

4Paste the path to your preferences into the field. Here's how:
- Highlight the following address with your mouse: ~/Library/PreferencePanes
- Press Command + C to copy it to your clipboard.
- Click the mouse once inside the typing area on the Go To Folder window.
- Press Command + V.

5Click the Go button. This opens the folder that contains the file you'll need to delete.

6Drag the file called MusicManager.prefPane to the Trash. It's the trash can icon on your desktop. Now you just have one more thing to delete.

7Click the Go menu again. It's in the top menu bar.

8Click Applications on the menu. This opens your app list.

9Drag the Music Manager file to the Trash. This fully deletes Google Music Manager from your Mac.[1]

10Delete your temporary music files (optional). Google Play Music Manager may have left some extraneous files on your Mac. Deleting them can save you hard drive space. Here's how:
- Click Go in the menu bar and select Go to.
- Copy ~/Library/Application Support/Google by pressing Command + C.
- Paste it into the typing area by pressing Command + V and click Go.
- Drag the MusicManager folder to the trash.
- Click Go in the menu bar and select Go to.
