Bandra Kurla Complex high-speed railway station

Bandra Kurla Complex high-speed railway station is an under construction railway station on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor.[1] This station is located at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, India. It is the only underground station of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor.

History

NHSRCL had originally invited tenders for package "C1" in November 2019 and canceled it in February 2022. Tenders were re-invited in July 2022 with a Deadline of 5-year.[2] The MEIL-HCC Joint Venture (Consists of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited and Hindustan Construction Company Limited) won the tender. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) signed an agreement with the MEIL-HCC joint venture for the design and construction of the underground Mumbai high-speed rail station in March 2023.[3]

Bandra Kurla Complex high-speed railway station will be served by the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor, and is located south end of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor in Mumbai.[4]

Station layout

The Bandra Kurla Complex High-Speed Railway station will have 6 underground station platforms, With the under constructed station building will be located upstairs of platform level. The Railway station will have 6 platforms, which will serve 6 tracks for regular service.[5]

The platform will be built at a depth of about 24 meters from the ground level. It will have three levels - platform, concourse and service floor.[6] The 467 m long station area will have 6 platforms of 425 m length for 16 coach bullet trains.[7]
