Kedah State Legislative Assembly
The Kedah State Legislative Assembly (Malay: Dewan Undangan Negeri Kedah) is the state legislature of the Malaysian state of Kedah. It is a unicameral institution, consisting of a total of 36 lawmakers representing single-member constituencies throughout the state.

Role
The Kedah State Legislative Assembly's main function is to enact laws that apply in the state. It is also the forum for members to voice their opinions on the state government's policies and implementation of those policies. Under the law, assemblymen are given the right to freely discuss current issues such as public complaints. On financial matters, the Assembly approves supply to the government and ensures that the funds are spent as approved and in the tax-payers' interest.
The State Executive Council (EXCO) is appointed from members of the State Assembly. Led by the Menteri Besar, it exercises executive power on behalf of the Sultan and is responsible to the Assembly.

Notes
- Mukhriz contested the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (BERSATU) candidate, was sacked from BERSATU on 28 May 2020 and become independent. He, together with several ex-BERSATU members, later founded PEJUANG on 12 August 2020. He was also the Menteri Besar from 11 May 2018 until his resignation date on 17 May 2020.
- Phahrolrazi contested the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (AMANAH) candidate, was sacked from AMANAH on 30 October 2022 and become independent. He was also the Opposition Leader from 20 July 2020 to his sacking date. Phahrolrazi later joined another PH component party, PKR.
- Amiruddin contested the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (BERSATU) candidate, was sacked from BERSATU on 28 May 2020 and become independent. He, together with several ex-BERSATU members, later founded PEJUANG on 12 August 2020.
- Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail contested the general election as a Barisan Nasional (UMNO) candidate, quitted UMNO on 12 November 2018.
- Johari Abdul contested and won the seat in the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (PKR) candidate, and announced he resigned his state seat on 18 December 2022. He was also the Opposition Leader from 31 October 2022 to his resignation date.
- Robert Ling contested the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (PKR) candidate, resigned from the party together with Azman Nasruddin on 12 May 2020 and become independent. They later joined BERSATU on 6 September 2020.
- Azman contested the general election as a Pakatan Harapan (PKR) candidate, resigned from the party together with Robert Ling on 12 May 2020 and become independent. They later joined BERSATU on 6 September 2020.
