The plot of the show revolves around the life of Dua whose happy married life takes a drastic turn when her husband marries another woman.

Plot

Haider Akhtar is a honest and responsible business-man who belongs to the upper class. He is married to a little-educated but kind woman, Dua. Soon, he meets an outspoken and courageous woman named Ghazal, with whom he shares a love-hate relationship while Dua shares a rather friendly relationship. Ghazal and Haider overcome their hatred, and Haider and Dua offer shelter to Ghazal in their house, when her house is destroyed by an earthquake. Hina (Haider's mother) reveals to Dua that Saqib (Ghazal's father) had once saved the life of eight-year-old Haider but she misunderstood it and falsely accused Zeenat (Ghazal's mother) of abducting Haider which in turn caused the mob to beat her to death. Before dying of cancer, Saqib had proposed Ghazal and Haider's marriage but they didn't agree as Dua and Haider were already engaged. In the present, Ghazal falls in love with Haider. After knowing everything, Ghazal pretends that she has forgiven Hina, but joins hands with Gulnaaz to seek revenge on Hina and marry Haider, while Hina develops a special liking for Ghazal.

When Dua comes to know Ghazal's intentions, she tries to throw her out, but fails as Ghazal falsely reciprocates the feelings of Ruhaan (Haider's half-brother), who was secretly in love with her. Ghazal makes Ruhaan believe that she and Haider are having an affair. On the day of Ghazal and Ruhaan's wedding, Ruhaan runs away from the house with the help of Dua, while an intimate video of Ghazal and Haider gets viral and they face criticism. Eijaz abducts Ruhaan. Ghazal reveals Hina's secret to Haider and tries to give up her life. To protect Ghazal's dignity and get Hina forgiven for her sins, Haider marries Ghazal, leaving Dua shattered.
