Monuments

In the village

A statue named Boží muka can be found behind the village, on the left on the road towards Choltice. The work was purchased in 1913 at the expense of the Jareš couple, as wished by their dead daughter Marie. The statue has a two-stage base, a regular shaft and a profiled head. [3]

The statue of St. John of Nepomuck can be found in front of the Church of All Saints. It was created in 1672 and repaired in 1863. The lower part of the work consists of a plinth, a pedestal, a profiled shaft and a head.[4] Nearby is a memorial to those victims of the Nazi occupation.[5]

Other

A column dedicated to MUDr. Josef Bartoň and his wife Emilia Bartoňová

Various monuments can be found around Stojice to those who died during World War 1 and World War 2, like one dedicated to MUDr. Josef Barton: a paediatrician in Pardubice, who was martyred during the war for his duties on July 2, 1942.[6]

Flag

When the flag and coat of arms were being created, the following facts were considered:[7]

  • Green colour - symbolises the area's agriculture and forests
  • Wavy beams - symbolise a stream
  • The star - symbolises The Church of All Saints
