Matthias Kaburek
Matthias Kaburek (9 February 1911 – 17 February 1976) was an Austrian football player. He played as forward mainly for SK Rapid Wien. With the Austrian national football team he played in the 1934 FIFA World Cup.

Club career
Kaburek started his career with the Vienna Cricket and Football-Club. In 1928 he went to SK Rapid Wien.Then he played for FC Metz (1936/37) and USB Longwy (1937/38) in the French league sides Metz,[1] alongside compatriot and fellow World Cup player Franz Cisar. For Rapid Vienna, Kaburek played 152 games and scored 135 goals.[2]
International career
He played his first match on 11 February 1934 in a 4-2 win versus Italy.[3] As a player Kaburek was part of Austria national football team at the 1934 FIFA World Cup.[4] He also played one match for Germany after the occupation of Austria by Nazigermany [5] in 1939.[6]
Manager
After the end of the Second world war, Kaburek worked as a coach. He started in 1946 at ASK Hollabrunn and in 1947 at SK Židenice in Brno. In 1949 he took over the coaching post at ASK Patria Heidenreichstein.
