Parma, Ohio

Parma is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio in the Cuyahoga County. The current mayor of Parma is Dean DePiero. The population is 80,009 from the 2006 census but the city's peak population was in 1970 when the population was 100,216.

Parma was named after Parma, New York and the city was largely agricultural in the 19th century. Parma grew quickly after World War II when the young families began moving from Cleveland to the suburbs and during the Cold War Parma kept Nike missiles in underground silos.

WWE wrestler The Miz was born in Parma.[1]
