Queen Sofía of Spain
Sophia of Greece and Denmark (Greek: Σοφία, Spanish: Sofía; born 2 November 1938) is a member of the Spanish royal family and former Greek royal family who was Queen of Spain during the reign of her husband, King Juan Carlos I, from 1975 to 2014.

Biography
Sophia of Greece and Denmark was born on 2 November, 1938 in Athens. Her parents were King Paul and his wife Queen Frederica. Sophia is the sister of King Constantine II and Princess Irene.
She became queen upon her husband's accession in 1975.[1] On 19 June 2014, Juan Carlos abdicated in favor of their son Felipe VI.[2]
In 2023, Sophia attended the funeral of her brother, Constantine.
