Walnut Ridge, Arkansas
Walnut Ridge is a city in the US state of Arkansas. It has a population of 4,925.[1]
In 1964, the Beatles visited the city at the height of their popularity. It was a brief stop on the Beatles' American tour. They landed at the city's airport to spend the weekend at a local dude ranch. The city has built a sculpture to commemorate the visit.[1] The city also holds a festival to remember the Beatles' visit.[1]
Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley performed in the city early in their careers.
The town is located on U.S. Route 67 which is named "Rock 'N Roll Highway."[1]
