Prathipadu, Guntur Assembly constituency
Prathipadu Assembly constituency is a Scheduled Caste reserved constituency in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India.[1] It is one of the seven assembly segments of the Guntur Lok Sabha constituency.[2]

Mekathoti Sucharitha is the current MLA of the constituency, having won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from YSR Congress Party.[3] As of 2019, there are a total of 250,247 electors in the constituency.[4] The constituency was established in 1951, as per the Delimitation Orders (1951).
History
1. According to the orders of the Delimitation Commission in 1955, the Assembly Constituency was named Pedda Kakani and included Prattipad firka and Peddakakani firka (excluding Koppuravur, Venigandla, Nambur, Kantamraj-Kondur, Penumuli, and Devarayabhotlapalem villages) in Guntur taluk [5]: 22, 48
2. Prathipad. assembly constituency was established in 1967 delimitation order with Prathipad firka in Guntur taluk; and Nadendla firka and six Villages in Narasaraopet firka in Narasaraopet taluk included in Prathipad Assembly Constituency. The Six villages from narasaraopet firka are 1. Dondapadu 2. Kondakavur ' 3. Ellamanda 4. Kesanipalle 5. Pothavarappadu 6. Jonnalagadda. [6]: 22, 31
3. In the 1976 delimitation of parliament and assembly constituencies, the Prathipad assembly constituency was formed with Prathipad firka and Pedakakani firka (excluding villages 65-Kopparavur, 72-Venigandla, 73-Pedakakani, 75-Narnbur, 76-Kantamraju-Kondur, 77-Penumuli, and 78-Devarayabhotlapalem villages) in Guntur taluk.[7]: 22, 31
