    Open Adobe Photoshop. It's a blue app icon that contains the letters "Ps."

    Select an image. Open the image you want to use for a background.

    • Select a brush size big enough to work quickly but small enough to capture details.

    Click and hold, then drag the tool along the edge of the image you want in the foreground.

    Click on the Fill Tool. It's in the upper-left of the Extract window.

    Click and drag the fill tool across the area you want to keep. The preserved area will turn a translucent blue.

    • The extracted image will appear in the foreground over the background image.

    Use the Move Tool to position or resize the foreground image. It's at the top of the toolbar.
