Monroe County, Pennsylvania
Monroe County is a county in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population was 169,842.[1] Its county seat is Stroudsburg.[2] The county was formed from sections of Northampton and Pike counties.[3] It is named in honor of James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States.
