Dighton, Kansas
Dighton is a city in Lane County, Kansas, United States.[6] It is also the county seat of Lane County. In 2010, 1,038 people lived there.[7] Dighton is named after Dick Dighton, a surveyor.[8]

Dighton is at 38°28′53″N 100°27′54″W (38.481506, -100.464893).[9] It is at the intersection of K-96 and K-23. The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.88 square miles (2.28 km2). All of it is land.[1]

Education
Dighton USD 482 Public Schools has two schools in Dighton. They are the Dighton Jr/Sr High School and the Dighton Elementary School.[10]
The Lane County Library is in Dighton.[11]
